You are here at the invitation and discretion of the owners. I suspect hardware on my end since I have tried a few driver versions. Hawky I wonder what is so "special" about installing this thing? If you are using the out of the box plug and play class compliant for any of M-Audio's stuff, then you can only connect one thing to it at a time.
It's USB and I use for my desktop and laptop. It is one of the smallest box-style midi interfaces available, and is suitable for most basic midi needs, where only one or two midi devices are being used.

Test box at 64 bit Vista is NOT working. I do not fall into that category and obviously neither do you. Wish I could find one of those. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. The unit itself is great. Now X1 doesn't recognize the Midisport 2x2 Anniversary edition at all. I though it was just me, and since it was a low priced Midi Device I never thought twice about it - until I saw this thread. Initially, I thought it was repeating itself and thus something was wrong and I aborted the second installation.
I used it daily for 7 years and more episodically sincewhen midisporg serves me in concert.

When I plugged my test box into my midisport it didn't work. Which instruments or the Systmes do you use? Don't fix it in the mix Also, installing the drivers can be confusing, because there are two sets of drivers that need to load when you plug the Midisport 2x2 into the computer.
I finally downloaded the driver zip file from the Midiman site to a floppy, then read the installation midiwport. I have never been able to get it going since. I have followed every trouble shooting guide to the letter. Cubase from SL2 to Cubase 6 Trial in 64bit, it works fine.
Saturation, for my part, never took place.
