I would definitely recommend this to beginning producers who crave the Akai technology but akxi have loads of money to spend on the more expensive mpc's. Wide range of parameter assignments. MPC Swing is sometimes referred to as "the heart and soul of hip hop" because it turns perfectly aligned sequences into human-feeling time alignments. Even better, each Q-Link can access three different parameters for a total of 72 real-time Q-Links!

There is a gap between the rubber pads and the underlying sensors, however, so you really have to mash the pads to get them to trigger. The MPD32 also gives you a dedicated set of transport controls for instant access to the most commonly used DAW or sequencing-software controls.
Just as the pads have four banks, so the controllers faders, knobs and switches have their own Control Bank switches so you can select one of the three available banks. We worried that it might be difficult to get all the pads, knobs and faders doing what we wanted, but it turns out to be easy. You can access four different banks of sounds from the MPC pads for a total of 64 sounds at your fingertips.
A fully reprogrammable controller, the MPD32 is a malleable and multi-functional tool that fits perfectly within any production or performance environment. The final controls come in the form of a transport section record, play, stop, forward and rewind. If you don't need a keyboard most of them stink anywayI would def. The MPD 32 works well with Logic. This multi-use controller is just what I was looking for and will have many hours of exploration into various sound world creations.
No Longer Available Update Location close. Our Verdict A flexible controller for studio and performance use - computer users who want MPC-style functionality should snap it up. The repeating can akzi assigned to either momentary or toggling behaviours, and Gate and Swing parameters are on the next edit page to make the most of those repeats.
Pads are easy to use and the thing is basically plug and play.
